The holiday season is upon us, with it comes plans to gather with family and friends and share meals at the table.  Whether it is baking cookies with kids or sharing a homemade potluck dinner with friends, this kind of cooking and sharing is a signature part of the holidays.

Sadly, there are families and individuals who aren’t able to participate in these traditions- some that can barely put food on the table on a daily basis. Quite often, these families rely on local food pantries to receive healthy meals for their family. The Trees of Friends Foundation (ToFF)Food Pantry in Manchester is one of those pantries.

(ToFF) co-founder, Darcy Hott, saw the need for a food pantry within walking distance of downtown Manchester. She found the perfect spot, the pantry is located at 3211 Main street, right next to the firehouse. ToFF has been working closely with local elementary and middle schools in the Manchester area to support those in need the community.

The pantry is open on Sunday 2-4pm to assist those in need and to accept donations. Currently, the following items are on the requested list: Canned Tuna, Chicken, and Salmon, Peanut Butter, Canned Fruit, Pasta and Pasta Sauce, Soups. Financial donations and volunteers are also needed, every little bit helps with this cause.

Visit the TOFF website for additional ways that we, as a community, can help those in need. Let’s make this a happy holiday for everyone
