The MVHS Maverick Theater will be presenting The Imaginary Invalid, adapted by Timothy Mooney. The presentation will be held on December 9 and 10, 2016 at the Manchester Valley High School auditorium at 7 p.m. each night. Admission is $5.00. More details are available at

The Imaginary Invalid is a three-act comédie-ballet by the French playwright Molière with dance sequences and musical interludes by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. It premiered on 10 February 1673 at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal in Paris and was originally choreographed by Pierre Beauchamp. The play is also known as “The Hypochondriac”, an alternative translation of the French title.

MVHS Mavericks Drama Club brings together students who share a passion for theater and performing arts. The club promotes learning about the theater through activities, trips and productions that enhance the educational goals of the theater’s discipline courses and productions. It also strives to foster an appreciation of all forms of the performing arts and provides opportunities for artistic growth within the organization itself as well as the greater school community. Membership is open to all students who share the club’s goal of promoting awareness of theater and performing arts on campus and in the community.
